R. Derek Frost CEO and Chairman

Mr. Frost has over 40 years in the financial industry.  During his career he has held several CEO, SVP, VP, and DBD positions with public and private companies.  Starting as an International (FX) Trader with the Toronto Dominion Bank, he eventually made his way to institutional investment, pension and custodial services at now Royal Bank Group of Companies.  Leaving the Trust services, provided financial capital management and advisory services to various corporations, and, directly and indirectly raised hundreds of millions of dollars for these clients.  Further, he provided indirect management and marketing services to an international insurance company.

He has been Chair and Director of various private and public American and Canadian companies.  He has been involved in the M & A, RTO, and Business Development for his clients.  Currently, he is the Managing Director of the CS 9 Group of Companies, advisor to a series of venture capital funds, and investor in a series of financial service, manufacturing and technology corporations.

Up and above his corporate endeavours, he was a retired Major (res) in the Canadian Armed Forces, Deputy Commanding Officer of an Infantry Regiment.  He has been awarded the Canadian Forces Decoration, Canadian 125 Medal, Officer of the Order of St. John, and Officer of the Order of St. Lazarus. He has sat on the Board of Directors for various international and national charities.

Chris Cook, President, Secretary, and Treasurer

For the past 20 years Mr. Cook’s experience included private and public company mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and supporting growth in new emerging companies grow. c-suite with direct experience mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance.

Highlights of Mr. Cook’s career include launching and managing successful business in the broader retail sectors from seed level financing to trade sale. As an entrepreneur he secured Venture Capital Financing and engineered a successful reverse takeover of a Toronto Stock Exchange listed company during the technology boom of the late 1990’s.

Mr. Cook has been active supporting the growth in new emerging companies is a variety of operational and advisory roles. Including as Vice President of a boutique corporate finance company, advising private companies on financing requirements, setting go-to-market strategies. mergers and acquisitions and identifying new business opportunities.

Mr. Cook holds a TRIUM Global Executive MBA, one of the leading programs for global leaders jointly issued by New York University Stern School of Business, London School of Economics and Political Science, and HEC Paris School of Management.
